Gurugram: Gurugram police on Monday mentioned they arrested 11 cyber fraudsters who allegedly duped individuals throughout India of about Rs 14.60 crore.
In accordance with police, 4,279 complaints and 198 instances have been discovered to be registered towards these fraudsters.
DCP Siddhant Jain mentioned Rs 4.20 lakh, 4 cellphones and two SIM playing cards have been recovered from the accused.
After inspecting these SIM playing cards and reviewing the information from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Middle (I4C), it was discovered that fraud of about Rs 14.60 crore has been dedicated by these fraudsters throughout the nation, he added.
Out of the whole instances registered towards them, 16 are lodged in Haryana, together with 5 in Gurugram, police mentioned.
These arrested have been recognized as Deepak Kumar, Naveen, Dhanvant, Bharat Keshwani, Paras Rajbhar, Manish Kushwah, Deepak Kushwah, Nadeem, Rakesh, Navin and Amita Singh, they added.
“In the course of the police interrogation it was revealed that these accused used to commit fraud within the title of buying items on-line on OLX and by defrauding cash by means of social media platform Instagram,” DCP Jain mentioned.
