UTICA, N.Y. — A shoplifting investigation from April 10 has resulted in arrests.
Utica Law enforcement officials responded to Walmart in North Utica final month concerning a shoplifting incident.
Loss-prevention associates on the retailer informed UPD that two people “stuffed carts with objects and handed all factors of sale and tried to exit the shop,” officers acknowledged.
When the people have been approached by the associates, they “dumped the carts on their sides and fled via the car parking zone,” UPD acknowledged in a launch.
The overall worth of the objects that have been tried to be stolen exceeded $1,000.
Via surveillance footage and collaboration with Walmart, the suspects have been recognized and ultimately turned themselves in.
On Could 3, Mitchell Wallace, 22, of Rome, was charged with grand larceny, and Bryan Stannard, 38, of Rome, was additionally charged with grand larceny.
